Rice is one of the most ancient agricultural crops, which appeared on our planet near 10 000 years ago on the territory, where now India, Thailand and China are situated. Since then this crop is one of the main food for 75% of the world population.
According to the experts’ estimation, people eat almost 700 million tons of rice every year! It is cultivated and handled by 1 milliard people in the world. For today there are almost 7000 varieties of rice and all of them are the source of vitamins and minerals, necessary for a human’s body. The rice is well combined with other products and that is why different countries have different traditions of cooking meals with rice.
Ukrainian rice grows on ecologically friendly fields of southern part of Kherson region, not far from the sea. Here you can’t see any industrial facilities, polluting environment, and minimal amount of agricultural chemistry is used to cultivate rice, which sets apart Ukrainian rice from its Asian counterparts. Ukrainian rice is produced only from the last crops paddy, and owing to that it preserves its valuable qualities. The quality of Ukrainian rice doesn’t concede the quality of the imported one, and sometimes it is even higher.
